At Delight Studio, led by Javier de Santos, we merge the beauty of movement with cutting-edge technology to create kinetic artworks that capture the essence of dynamism and interactivity.

Our pieces are designed to be in constant motion or activated through audience interaction, delivering hypnotic and deeply emotional visual experiences. By integrating advanced technologies, our work goes beyond mere decoration — it builds a bridge between art and viewer, inviting them to become part of the magic unfolding in every movement.

Since our founding, Delight Studio has been featured in some of Argentina’s most prominent art and design events.

Casa FOA (2023), the country’s leading architecture and interior design fair, where we debuted kinetic works that explore the intersection of movement and space.

Estilo Pilar (2023), one of the most prestigious design and landscaping exhibitions, where we were honored with First Prize in the sculpture category for one of our pieces.

BADA (2024) (Buenos Aires Directo de Artista), a major art fair focused on direct-to-public sales, where we connected with hundreds of collectors and art enthusiasts.

Javier de Santos is an atypical artist. With a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Yale School of Management, his career began in the world of global consulting. For over a decade, he created an international consulting company and led strategic innovation projects for Fortune 500 companies across multiple continents.

But in 2021, guided by curiosity and a lifelong passion for art, movement, and meaning, he founded Delight Studio, a kinetic art and design practice based in Buenos Aires.

Entirely self-taught as an artist and technologist, Javier brings a deeply interdisciplinary approach to his creations—combining elegant design, light, motion, and interaction. His pieces often blend sculpture, data, and embedded systems in ways that surprise and connect emotionally with their audience. He believes in art that moves—literally and figuratively.

KINETIC, is a series of pieces composed of suspended acrylic. They invite to play and when activated they generate a hypnotic effect.

Alma, a light entity made of an neverending swirls of colors... that copies your color... shines when you smile and that you can enlarge with your hands.

Light sculptures that change on whim... or based on what happens around them...

ECOS CAPRI is a kinetic artwork where hundreds of pieces come to life and move like the sea waves of Capri, creating a magical and enchanting atmosphere.

The front is painted in the deep blues and turquoise colors of the waters of Capri and every hour, ECOS connects to our server to check how the real swell of the Capri sea is doing and updates automatically to emulate these wave patterns, adjusting its direction, speed, and amplitude. These changes reflect the endless variability of nature, creating a spectacle that is never the same twice.

The vision behind this piece was for the technology to disappear and nature to emerge. To invite the energy of the Capri sea, for which Javier had vivid memories of its colors and sounds from his first visit as a child, into the everyday life of homes, bringing with it both its calm and its fury—delivering a bit of that magic found in nature’s constant change.

ECOS CAPRI invites you to pause and connect with the natural rhythm of the outside world. It is more than a piece of art; it is a portal to tranquility, a constant reflection that reminds you of the movement and beauty of the universe.

ECOS CAPRI is the result of the melding of art, design, technology and software.

With 400 pieces of printed acrylic that mimic the mesmerizing colors of the sea in Capri, with changing nuances depending on how light plays with them.

Behind the acrylic pieces lie 400 servo motors that are connected with a mix of Arduino and Raspberry Pi controllers so that each motor can be moved individually.

Our programming enables ECOS to create wave like motions that can change direction, speed and amplitude. Achieving a beautiful wave effect that is not only visual but also auditive. It is also programmed to connect to our servers every hour so that it can check and update what the real swell of Capri is doing.

Finally, a Kinect camera enables people to become part of the art piece itself.
